War & Health Concerns

A GLOBAL HEALTH LENS

“As of late March 2026, at least 1,400–1,500 people have been killed and nearly 21,000 injured in Iran, about 1,000 people killed and over 2,400 injured in Lebanon, and at least 18 people killed and thousands injured in Israel, with additional fatalities among US service members and civilians in neighboring states. Children are heavily affected: over 1,800 children have been killed or injured in this latest phase of the conflict across the region.”

At the local level, we invite individuals and organizations to:

  • Join or host teach‑ins and trainings on war and public health, using evidence from the WHO and humanitarian agencies.

  • Contact local, state, and national representatives this week to call for a ceasefire, protection of health care and civilians, and safe corridors for medical aid.

  • Support trusted medical relief organizations working in Gaza, the West Bank, Iran, Lebanon, and neighboring countries.

  • Work with us to pass resolutions in unions, faith communities, schools, and local councils affirming that health care must never be a target of war.

Who We Are

We are a community-centered initiative focused on health understanding, shared learning, and thoughtful dialogue. Our work creates space for people, specialists, and organizations to explore health, wellness, and care systems together—without jargon, gatekeeping, or one-size-fits-all answers.

We believe that informed people make stronger decisions, and that health conversations are most powerful when they are accessible, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience. #projectmap/phosbc
